    Additional Information on Eligibility:

    The purpose of this announcement is to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) of Côte d'Ivoire to: 1) implement central, regional, and district-level HIV prevention, care, and treatment interventions; 2) direct the planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of national HIV/AIDS activities; and 3) strengthen resource mobilization.

    Description

    1-Name of the single eligibility applicant Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) 2-The purpose of the award is to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) Cote d’lvoire to (a) implement central, regional, and district-level HIV prevention, care, and treatment interventions; (b) direct the planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of national HIV/AIDS activities; and (c) strengthen resource mobilization. 3-The amount of the award (this is the initial 12-month budget) is $5,000,000. 4-Total 5-year project period: $25,000,000. 5-The justification for exception to competition This award is intended to build upon existing ministry of health initiatives to promote a strong health-sector response to HIV/AIDS as part of a multisectoral and integrated national approach. The MSHP will coordinate award activities with various sub-departments of the Ministry and foster stronger involvement of local government officials and other stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of HIV/AIDS activities and to promote local ownership and sustainability.
