    1-Name of the single eligibility applicant National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS)2-The purpose of the award The Purpose of this announcement is to support the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) in the provision of a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood products to health facilities in Cote d'Ivoire3-The amount of the award (this is the initial 12-month budget:$4,500,0004-Total 5-year project period:$17,500,0005-The justification for exception to competition The NBTS is the only eligible applicant that can applicant for this funding opportunity due to their unique position as the official national service provider and policy advisor for safe blood collection and transfusion practices under the Ministry of Health. It is also the only entity in Cote d'Ivoire which provides blood transfusion services and is capable of executing the objectives of this agreement, as exemplified by their quality of services, long history of leading this technical domain within the country, experience working with international donors such as PEPFAR, and ability to partner and engage effectively with other organizations that provide technical or mobilization support such as the International Red Cross.
