    The Fiscal Year 2008 (FY08) Defense Appropriations Act provides $10
    million to the Department of Defense Ovarian Cancer Research Program
    (OCRP) to support innovative research to eradicate Ovarian Cancer. This
    program is administered by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel
    Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical
    Research Programs (CDMRP). A summary of OCRP funding opportunities is
    provided below.  Detailed descriptions of each of the funding
    mechanisms, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements can be
    found in the FY08 OCRP Program Announcements. Each Program Announcement
    is available electronically for downloading from the Grants.gov website
    (<http://www.grants.gov>), the CDMRP website
    (<http://cdmrp.army.mil/funding/ocrp.htm>) and the CDMRP eReceipt
    Website (https://cdmrp.org).

    As of 2007, proposals requesting funding from the CDMRP have been
    submitted through the Federal Government's single entry portal,
    Grants.gov, in compliance with Public Law 106-107. Individual program
    announcements and required forms can be found on the Grants.gov website.
    Pre-applications are required and must be submitted through the CDMRP
    eReceipt website, <https://cdmrp.org>, prior to proposal submission to
    Grants.gov.  
    
    New for 2008 - In order to clarify the CDMRP Program Announcements and
    proposal submission process, CDMRP has divided these documents into the
    following: 
     
    1)  Program Announcement - contains all program information, scientific
    proposal components, and peer review criteria.
    2)  Application Instructions - contains instructions and detailed
    information on all pre-application and proposal requirements, including
    directions for Grants.gov submissions.  This document also contains
    Regulatory Requirements and Award Administration information.
     
    Each Application Instruction document will only apply to the specific
    award mechanism listed; however this document is intended to be utilized
    in conjunction with the PA.
