The Office of the Vice President for Research & Graduate Studies, through its Research Facilitation & Dissemination (RF&D) unit, is introducing a blog discussing current funding opportunities and program deadlines, including both intramural and extramural sources. Many items on the blog will derive from "grants.gov". Others, however, will deal with state, local, foundation or private corporate extramural support opportunities. Given the large number of Federal issuances, some editorial selectivity will be necessary. Hence, direct recourse to grants.gov may be necessary to find announcements of very narrow potential campus interest. Instructions on subscribing to grants.gov -- as well as other topics of continuing interest -- may be found by clicking under "what's hot" at the right.
Construction of this blog site began in February 2008. If you know of an opportunity you believe should be shared with the MSU community, please e-mail it to ljh@msu.edu or call 432-4499.
As time passes, the "calendar" tag will be populated by RF&D with known deadlines of internal funding opportunities and related programs. Please use grants.gov or equivalent external sources for deadlines of extramural programs. The external sources sometimes modify their deadline dates and hence their own web sites should be considered the definitive sources of relevant information.
