Institutionally-limited Competitions
The Vice President for Research & Graduate Studies is responsible for coordinating the internal review and selection of competing proposals when their number exceeds what is allowed by the sponsor as specified in their program announcement or request for proposals. This applies to all types of proposals (fellowship, individual awards, equipment, training, research, etc.), sponsors (federal, state, foundation, etc.), and award types (grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, etc.).
This site announces all known deadlines that impose restrictions and provides internal deadlines along with the specific information that is requested to assist with the internal review process. If you become aware of a proposal opportunity that imposes a restriction on MSU as a whole and is not listed here, please communicate this fact to your departmental administrator or dean's office and to Dr. Estelle McGroarty as early as possible.
